2K’s goal is “to gain recognition by the people through [their] vision of presenting artistic uniquities by artists [they] have met and become fond of.” Sounds pretty fine and dandy to me! Each order comes with a t-shirt man keychain, which is pretty nifty. It seems to be made out of some pretty sturdy rubber-like material and looks like this:

Of all the 86 artists whose t-shirt art they print, I am particularly fond of the work of Marc Atlan (see all his t-shirts at 2K here). Even more specifically, I love his fast food series. They have this great “painted” style to them. Here are my top 5 favorites:

Maybe it’s because I’m from Chicago that the hot dog t-shirt is my favorite… I’m just glad there’s mustard, and not ketchup on it, because that is just plain wrong. In fact, according to a 2005 poll conducted by the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council, 32% of all Americans prefer mustard on their hot dogs (compared to 23% for ketchup). Furthermore, according to the Hot Dog Etiquette guidelines, ketchup is not to be used on hot dogs after the age of 18.
A Chicago-style hot dog (my personal favorite, except I get mine without the peppers) can be either grilled or boiled (I prefer grilled) and is served in a steamed poppy seed bun and topped with yellow mustard, chopped onion, sweet pickle relish (the radioactive green variety), a dill pickle spear, tomato slices, sport peppers, and “a dash of celery salt.” (Recipe courtesy of Fluky’s (I’ve been there!).)

This fine specimen came from The Bunny Hutch (I’ve been there a lot! My grandparents used to take me and my younger brother miniature golfing there all the time!). And here’s Superdawg (I’ve been there, too! The eyes of the ‘Superdawg’ and the ‘Maidendawg’ (I just made that one up) light up at night. It’s pretty fantastic!), which has been a drive-in since 1940:

Now I’m hungry for a hot dog…
