Count To Ten With Ten Bills

Watch out! Today’s stylin’ threads come to you straight from Ten Bills, the slick shirt shopping site that proudly boasts a substantial catalog solely stocked with ten dollar tees. Yep, that’s right: only ten bucks per shirt! Now, I’ve seen some ten dollar tees in the past, and I have to say, I haven’t seen any designs that come close to what these folks produce.

Fans of humanoid robots are particularly lucky — Ten Bills has two of ‘em on the shelves. I have to admit, despite robots’ growing ubiquity in the t-shirt world, it’s difficult to resist their stoic, frigid, soulless charm. Fortunately — and unlike the android race — these tees have plenty of spirit in them:

First Flight and Nightingale, respectively: $10 each
Hey, they’re both designed by the same guy: Michael Phillips! Imagine that.

And while I enjoy these next two tees as well, I can’t help but wonder when owls and octopi will fade from the spotlight and recede into the murky terrain of Shirt Cliché Land, joining the likes of skulls, hearts, and faux distress. But since it’s difficult to find a sufficient substitute for the awesomeness of owls and octopi, I’d say that such a day is quite a ways away.

Once Upon a Time and 8 Feet Under at Ten Bills: $10 each

Now, with tees this inexpensive, you’re going to have to make up the costs somewhere. Still, I was not particularly excited to learn that Nightingale is printed on Gildan shirts — not the most comfortable brand, though it seems oddly popular among certain webcomic artists and bands for some reason. Most of the other designs seem to be printed on Fruit of the Loom which, while not perfect, is a better alternative in my book.

In any case, be sure to check out the full catalog of shirts: high on zazz, low on price!
