Glennz Tees

*dusts off the keyboard*

Geez, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything here, hasn’t it? Mad props to Joe and John (especially John!) for keeping things chugging along for the past few weeks.

I have crawled out of my coding hovel, free from the jaws of malloc at last, to tell you about a new(ish) store called Glennz Tees. Glennz, as many of you undoubtedly know, is something of a Threadless demigod. He has had no less than 19 of his submissions printed by the hugely popular design competition site. I personally own three of his designs. To say that this New Zealander knows something of t-shirt design is probably an understatement.

Currently the store has nine offerings, six of which have appeared on Threadless in the past. Although it’s true that these designs failed to win the design competition, this reflects more upon the difficulty of getting printed by Threadless rather than on the quality of these six designs in particular. Which is to say that even though they’re “losers”, they’re still damn good designs.

Probably more exciting are the three remaining t-shirts, which I’m pretty sure are original designs made specifically for the Glennz Tees store. You haven’t seen these puppies before! You haven’t even smelt them. Really, the only thing about them that should be familiar to you in any way is the fact they they take the form of bolts of fabric sewn in such a way so as to make convenient for draping over one’s torso. With graphic designs printed upon them in ink.

Unless, of course, you’ve been to the site before. In which case… well, whatever.

Anyway, these “unseen” designs are: Scrap Metal, Go For Launch, and Prize Catch. And because I’m a sucker for Star Wars, I’m going to share with you Scrap Metal:

Regardless of how implausible having trash compactors on the Death Star is, it certainly seems as though R2D2 had an unfortunate run-in with one.

What brand of shirts are sold, I hear you ask? Why, American Apparel, of course! And how much do they cost, you want to know? Well, I could tell you that… but then I’d have to kill you.

Eh, what’s that, you say? I’ve already listed the price below, under the heading “expensiveness”, like we always do?

Oh. Never mind, then.

Expensiveness: $19.95
