Item 2: The same applies to video games.

Item 3: Ditto for metal. Rock!

It is time to rectify all of these things in one fell swoop.

Those of you unfamiliar with the world of video game music remixing, I highly suggest that you examine your life and try to determine where it went so horribly wrong. The fastest way to redeem yourselves would be to go to MetroidMetal.com’s song page and immediately download “The Theme” under the Metroid section. I predict that you will soon wish you had longer hair once you begin to headbang improperly.

MetroidMetal.com is billed as a community site celebrating the Metroid franchise’s music library, and I must admit that I am not firmly entrenched in it. I don’t know much about the brains behind this sonic outfit other than his online handle: Stemage. What matters, though, is that A) he rocks my block off and B) he understands the fearsome power of combining the prototypical staple of rock with a celebrated video game icon.¹

There’s more shirts to see at MetroidMetal.com’s online Printfection store—featuring designs by the aforementioned Andrew Wilson as well as Lady Phendrana—but really, you just can’t beat Samus with an electric guitar.² For, as we all well know, metal is the ultimate power-up.³ Can you imagine the stage show that Chozo technology could produce?
