Hey yous alls! First off: allow me to apologize on behalf of all three Bonanziers for the relative dearth of posting recently. What with the schoolyear ending, all of us have been pretty busy—first with finals, then with moving between various and sundry locations throughout the country. We’ll try to pick up the pace next week!
Getting on with it, here’s a quickie Friday post concerning Torso, a shop which has somehow eluded our blog for several months. This, of course, is unacceptable, and so for the second time today I apologize to you for my personal inadequacies as a human being. Obviously, I am a failure.
For those of you who haven’t seen ‘em, Torso has a trio of pretty dang nice t-shirts for sale, my favorite among them being They Are All Winners.

A poignant exploration of man’s mortality!
But—would you believe it?—this isn’t even what I’m writing to tell you about! As I mentioned earlier, a savvy internet t-shirt shopper like yourself probably already knows all about Torso. So what could I possibly have to add that might pique your nigh-unpiqueable interest?
Well, how about… this?

Thrilling! Spectacular! Harrowing! Or… wait, no—I took those adjectives from my Indiana Jones 4 review. This status bar is still a pretty nifty idea, though.
Rather than give you one of my own long-winded explanations, I’ll allow Matt from Torso elucidate it himself:
Torso really is about putting profits back into producing more tees from talented artists, and so we’ve added a “print meter” under our menu that shows people relatively how close we are to having the money available to bring out a new design. It will be updated every day and will directly reflect profit and returns from sales that we can put towards awesome new stuff. Once the white marker is reached you can be sure we will have something on the go that we can hopefully release shortly.
That is a pretty cool idea, if I do say so myself! It’s hard for a lot of smaller shops to release shirts on a really regular basis, so a status bar like this can help satisfy a customer’s natural curiosity as to when the next release is on its way. I may even have to utilize (read: borrow (read: steal)) this idea myself one of these days. ![]()
