Design By Humans/Jeff Finley T-Shirt Revolution

UPDATE: you can now view the entire printing process that went into this design on Flicker, starting here.

Jeff Finley, in cooperation with Design by Humans, have set new heights for t-shirt printing with DBH’s latest tee, Jeff’s Bold Is Beautiful:
Bold Is Beautiful - Jeff Finley - Design by Humans

Bold Is Beautiful by Jeff Finley NEW! at Design by Humans

This print pushes some boundaries in three ways, and in combination makes it all the more impressive:

  • it’s an oversize print covering nearly all of the shirt area, which requires some big screens and platens
  • it was printed using nine colors to capture all the complexity of the original design; their separator, Dan, deserves some HUGE props
  • to top it all off, this oversized, 9-color print has a soft hand… on a black shirt! Normally prints on dark shirts aren’t as soft because they require more ink to be opaque on the dark background, so this is all hugely impressive.

Well, congratulations DBH and Jeff Finley! The finished product looks absolutely fantastic.

I thought it could never be printed. I’m as surprised as everyone else. The sky really is the limit huh?

You can expect more in the future! Thanks again!

design by humans is really becoming a super power, although I dont like this shirt at all because it looks like a guy who lost a paint ball battle, I still love what they are about and what they do. their designs seem to take up most of the shirt and are much more graphic related than funny or offensive like most of the market. Great find guys.
