innerTee Kids Inaugural Sale

To commemorate the opening of their new site, innerTee Kids are having a sale during their launch - just use code ‘robots’ for 20% off! As betrayed by their name, innerTee Kids is an offshoot of innerTee, but instead of having a mixing interface for custom designs, they offer a range of pre-mixed kid-friendly designs on children’s tees.

Happy T-Shirt Competition of Happiness

UPDATE: This competition is now closed! A new one, however, is in the works!

Do you like creativity? Do you like winning stuff? Do you like winning stuff because of your creativity? If you answered ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to any of these questions, you may enjoy this contest at innerTee!

The rules are very simple:
Design a tee using user-submitted art elements with the theme HAPPINESS in mind, making sure to use either the word ‘happy’ or ‘happpiness’ in the title. On July 1st, the entry that has the most ‘karma points’ (innerTee’s rating system) will win!

The prize:
The winner will get a free t-shirt with their winning design on it!

It’s that easy! Check out a couple of the entries already made:

On the State of the 1st Released Design Theme (Robots!) & the Current Design Competition Theme at innerTee (hint: they’re good)

If you haven’t been following innerTee lately, you’ve missed a few things. They updated their Artists Program both to simplify the art submission process and to reflect the fact that, for the time being, all submissions are to be submitted under one of the current themes. The current theme is text balloons, with a pot of $200 and up to five winners! That link will lead you to the discussion board for the theme, where you can see some works-in-progress.

They’ve also recently released the art elements of their inaugural theme, which was robots. The designers were Dan, myself, s4ndm4n, and Miles, who all collaborated before submitting the final elements. (Click through the images below to view closeups of the art elements and to mix them yourself.)

Here are some closeups of a few of the robot art elements to give you a better idea of what they look like for those of you who don’t like following links:

There have been a lot of creative uses of the ‘bot elements so far (which you can browse through here, among all of the shirts mixed by innerTee’s users), but Roboptimus Prime, mixed by Miles, is one of my favorites that really highlights the flexibility of innerTee’s mixing system and the new robot elements:

Take $1, $2, $3 off at innerTee

In addition to their still-ongoing $10+art sale (cf. this FanBlog entry), innerTee have just released three of what I will dub ‘discount art elements’.

$1 off $2 off $3 off

Here’s the deal: use any of the above ‘discount art elements’ to receive $1, $2, or $3 off your order, respectively. The kicker: you can use as many as you want (although they won’t pay you to buy their shirts!). To take advantage of this deal, you’re going to have to sign up.

innerTee Updates!

Remember how I said that innerTee was soon to undergo some pretty nifty updates? Well, it’s happened! Mix Karma voting has been implemented (it’s a very simple Digg-like system), and the front page has gotten a very nice overhaul. There are even a couple more art elements, with more to follow shortly! All in all, these changes should make innerTee a much more fun community to be a part of.

“It’s Raining on My Hat” and “Bringing Food to Master” at innerTee

I know I’ve written before about innerTee, but that was before I’d even seen any of their goods! Now that I have, I can say that I’m pretty impressed. The concept, if you’re not familiar with it already, is mixing user-submitted pieces of wearable art (called “elements”) in whatever way you please; they then screenprint every customized shirt individually. Even though each shirt is unique, they don’t sacrifice the quality of their prints, which have a soft hand. They feel like they’re probably plastisol inks with softener added.

This is one of the shirts that I myself mixed and ordered from innerTee:

If you’re curious about what this shirt looked like when I designed it on their site (and you should be!), take a peak:

InnerTee Has a Sale!

Sale at InnerTee

InnerTee is having a sale to commemorate their launch! If you haven’t heard of InnerTee, and if you like t-shirts, you kind of need to come out from under your rock. Their premise is pretty simple: users (like yourself) submit graphical elements, and then you combine those elements willy-nilly to make a t-shirt. The nice people at InnerTee then print it and send it to you! This sale is the perfect excuse to check it out. Also, we don’t know when it’s going to end!

Expensiveness: $10+, not including artwork

P.S. Feel free to look at the mixes Joe’s been working on.
