Owl Movement Moves Linearly

Always looking forward, the chaps at Owl Movement have unleashed their newest series of t-shirts into those warm, golden fields—better known as the disposable income market. With the series title “Lines and Diagrams,” this quartet does privilege patterns over portraits, but don’t let the name mislead you into picturing Cartesian planes and medians and statistical whatnots. Square roots.

Snakes Mistakes by Miss Lotion at Owl Movement: $20.00

My cache of patterned apparel has always been a bit low, and Miss Lotion’s offering seems like a fine item to rectify this deficiency. It reminds me of a lethargic fractal that decided to call it quits after a subdivision or two for a reason I can’t entirely justify.

Natural by Jean Spezial at Owl Movement: $20.00

At first, I thought I would point at this shirt—offered by Mr. Spezial, a man analogous to Mr. Floyd and Mr. Python—and make a clever little Escher comment and feel very educated, but I feel as though I shouldn’t for many reasons. What you should note are the design’s featured creatures: “Owls, Dinosaurs and Ninja Octopi”. Ninja octopi, mind you! This is a new evolutionary step for these familiar subjects of t-shirt design. (How long until we begin to see robot-zombie-pirate-octopi, I wonder?)

And don’t neglect Dog Zone or Birthday Surprise, neither! The latter reminds me of neither lines nor diagrams, but I am willing to overlook this egregious1 error for now.

Owl Movement’s Whimsical Winter Sale

For what they only describe as “a very limited time”, Owl Movement will benevolently slash 15% off of your final purchase at their online store. No job is too big; no fee is too big! No matter your choice in shirts, they will trim the whole caboodle.

This Is The Happy House at Owl Movement: $17.00 if you purchase it by itself and don’t take account of shipping costs

Why not celebrate this Whimsical Winter Sale by giving winter a good ol’ slap in the face with a shirt from Owl Movement’s Neverendingsummertime series? Even if you’re not in a summery mood, it’s not as if there’s a dearth of t-shirts over there or anything. In fact, there are 32 shirts to choose from—not to mention two pillows, button packs, and a poster!

Summer Never Ends at Owl Movement

Owl Movement’s new series of tees (enthusiastically titled NEVERENDINGSUMMERTIME) is up! For you crustacean lovers out there, this shirt in particular is for you:

Slip Slop Slap by Eamo: $20

I highly recommend visiting Eamo’s website, if you can. It’s unclear as to whether there’s anything to purchase — his shop link simply redirects to RedBubble [edit: this no longer seems to be the case!] — but you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t check out his other work.

More importantly, though, you should sample Owl Movement’s full Series 6 lineup. The longer we cling onto summer, the better! Or — or, the worse, depending on your life attitudes.

Sales at Monsieur T. and Owl Movement!

How amazing is this? Sales at two of my favorite t-shirt companies! Even though I think I’ve already picked up all the tees I want from both of them, I just might take another look…

Monsieur T. is having a 30% off sale that lasts only until 7/19!

Owl Movement is having a 20% off sale ‘for a very limited time’.

Four New Tees at Owl Movement

moops

Looks like there are four new tees under the subheading of “OCCASIONAL INTRUDERS” over at Owl Movement. Although this series seems rather less owl-themed as a whole than the last batch, I’m not really complaining. I mean, it’s not like they ever claimed or implied that most of their shirts were going to be owl-themed. And in fact, they didn’t have very many owl-themed shirts before they released their most recent series, which wasn’t terribly long ago. So it’s not like there’s a long-standing precedent for having lots of owl-themed shirts all the time. Really, it’s just the name of the site. So I don’t even really know why I’m mentioning it. The point is entirely moot. Why am I even still talking about it? Everyone stopped caring at least four sentences ago.

Yes.

If you’re still here, and not checking out the new shirts, whaddaya waitin’ for?

“Parliamentary Party” at Owl Movement (Plus a Sale!)

Not too long ago, I placed an order for a t-shirt from Owl Movement, and just a few days after that, a shirt arrived from them! Crazy coincidence, I guess. ANYWAY, that shirt is “Parliamentary Party”, and it’s my favorite new shirt from Owl Movement!

I like the owl motif going on here. Owls upon owls upon owls (well, maybe not… but owls upon owls, at least!) have been crisply printed onto fine American Apparel t-shirts for your wearing pleasure. I was worried that the small owls wouldn’t have much definition when I placed my order, but I was wrong! They have very fine, very crisp edges. I’m also impressed with how the colors turned out, since it looks like they printed the top colors directly onto the dark shirt without an underbase!
